The November 19 membership meeting featured a presentation on health information technology.  George Boersma and Amy Baumer with the Michigan Department of Information Technology provided an overview of several HIT initiatives currently being implemented at the federal, state and local levels-and helped facilitate an interactive Q&A session featuring Thomas Bres, CIO of Sparrow Health System who talked about how health information technology is impacting the region's largest healthcare employer.
