September 17, 2009 Meeting

The September 17 membership meeting featured a presentation by Warren Armstrong, a local entrepreneur who has developed a site called publicdrum.org (http://publicdrum.org)-which is an internet wide repository for public event notices.  Their primary offering is a data service that greatly simplifies how event data is distributed.  Publicdrum's goal is to save all of us time - and money...

In addition, several Capital Area Michigan Works! partner agencies were on-hand to provide overviews of on-the-job training, scholarships, and paid work experiences so IT Council members can better understand how to leverage these valuable resources to support their organization's ongoing hiring/training efforts.
